Benchmarking trip to Mecklenburg Lake District, Germany
Who is this for?
For companies offering tourism services in the Kinda Kanal-area, and are interested in serving German tourists.
Equipment rental and activity companies, lake cruise companies, small hotels and accommodation companies, farms, museums and culture services, restaurants, DMCs and others are welcome to apply.
What is the trip about?
During the benchmarking and study trip you will learn more about the German customers, their mindset, expectations and travel habits + you will experience how tourism services actually work in Germany. Our special focus is cycling tourism and supporting service and marketing infrastructure.
The trip is about learning. We won’t do any marketing/selling of your services during the trip.
When does the trip take place?
Trip will take place on 23-27 September 2019.
What does it cost?
Most of the costs (transport, accommodation, programme, food) are covered by EU-funded Lakesperience project (Interreg Central Baltic). Daily allowances are not covered.
Participating companies are expected to pay 100€ participation fee.
How many companies are taken and how are they selected?
We are taking in a limited number of companies – only 5 from the Kinda Kanal area (1 representative per company). The selection is made based on the information you provide through the application form and the criteria set there.
Who else is coming?
Because Lakesperience project is about international cooperation, the project also takes 15 lake service companies from participating regions of Finland, Estonia and Latvia (5 per region). So it’s going to be lots of fun. All the communications and presentations during the trip are in English.
