The Air Force Museum combines knowledge with fun activities. Try out your flying skills in the flight simulator or discover what it’s like in the eye of a storm. In addition to the unique collection of aircraft, don’t miss the exhibition about the Swedish DC-3 that was shot down in the 1950s, salvaged 50 years later and finally housed in the basement of the museum.
With a range of exhibitions and activities, a shop and a restaurant, the museum has something for everyone of all ages.
Travel through time at Gamla Linköping Open Air Museum and find out what life was like a hundred years ago! Explore a unique environment with timber houses, cobbled streets, historic gardens and museums. There are also shops, restaurants, cafés and guest accommodation here.

A jewel in southern Östergötland is lake Sommen with Torpön island. Drop by the visitor centre Naturum Sommen, ride a boat on the lake, swim in the clear water or sunbathe on a secluded island. Torpön is especially popular with cyclists and walkers.
Just a stone’s throw away is Astrid Lindgren's World, where visitors can meet beloved characters from Astrid Lindgren’s children’s books and visit the author’s well-preserved childhood home on Näs farm.
The area has a rich array of small-scale, unique businesses, making for a fascinating trip through the beautiful landscape near the Småland border. Just watch out for the Sommarkoa, a mythical cow that, according to ancient legend, lies resting in one of the mountains around lake Sommen…
