The Beautiful Archipelago of Östergötland

The archipelago offers a wide variety of experiences, from the barren and distant islands in the outer rim to the inner islands which are lush and green. The archipelago area stretches from Bråviken in the north to Slätbaken, Gropviken and on to Valdermars-viken in the south. The whole archipelago area is divided into three areas, the Gryt, Sankt Anna and Arkösund archipelago.

Arkösund Archipelago

Arkösund is the archipelago closest to Norrköping. It is a picturesque turn of the century idyll located on the south side of the entrance to Bråviken, where the islands of the Östgöta archipelago are to be seen just beyond the coastline.

St. Anna Archipelago

St. Anna archipelago in Söderköping is situated in the heart of Östergötland archipelago

Gryt Archipelago

The Gryt and Tjust archipelagos at Valdemarsvik are some of the most unspoiled island in Sweden

The Archipelago Line (Skärgårdslinjen)

You do not need your own boat to get out to the islands in the archipelago. During the summer there is public transportation throughout the Östergötland archipelago, from Arkösund in the north to Harstena in the south.
